TAURUS

A bull for Europe

Inspired by Greek mythology on the history of the origins of Europe, the TAURUS European Culture Prize was created in 2012, designed by the Dresden artist and board member of the European Culture Forum Sven Schubert. According to this story, Zeus, the father of God, is said to have transformed himself into a bull to please the beautiful daughter of an Asian king. He gave her name to a continent in her honor: Europe.
