About us
The European Cultural Forum emerged from the support association of the European Cultural Foundation Pro Europa, which was founded on August 1, 2011 on the initiative of the founding President of the European Cultural Foundation Pro Europa, Dr. Ernst Seidel was founded in Dresden. This created the opportunity to bundle civil society commitment between art, education and business across borders in a larger European network.
United in diversity is one of the guiding principles of the European Cultural Forum and guides our actions. Europe's cultural heritage is a significant and indispensable part of our common identity, the preservation and development of which demands our permanent commitment. As the heirs of our European cultural heritage, it is necessary in the here and now to preserve history, to actively shape the future and to make cultural commonalities audible and visible.
Board of Directors
Europe needs renewal. More than ever, a broad social discourse about European values and goals is being initiated today. How do we want to live in Europe in the future and how much freedom do we need? The aim of the association is to give active impulses to the lively dialogue between the European states and regions and thus to contribute to a cultural exchange in Europe that accompanies politics and promotes communication. The company, based in Berlin and Dresden, works exclusively for the benefit of the public.
The purpose of the company is realized through the realization of the following individual projects:
- The award ceremony of the European Cultural Prize TAURUS
- Organization of musical events and competitions that serve to promote young people in the cultural field
- Organization of conferences and events that support European integration
Board of Trustees
In addition to the Board of Directors, the Board of Trustees plays an important role. It advises and discusses possible winners of the European Cultural Forum and then proposes them. Experts from different areas were recruited for the Board of Trustees in order to achieve professional authenticity that is distributed throughout society.
