The European Cultural Forum emerged from the support association of the European Cultural Foundation Pro Europa, which was founded in Dresden on 1st August 2011 on the initiative of the founding president of the European Cultural Foundation Pro Europa, Dr. Ernst Seidel. This created the opportunity to bundle civil society commitment between art, education and business in a larger European network across borders.
United in diversity is one of the guiding principles of the European Cultural Forum and directs our actions. Europe’s cultural heritage is an essential and indispensable part of our common identity, the preservation and development of which requires our permanent commitment. As the heirs of our European cultural heritage, it is necessary in the here and now to preserve history, actively shape the future and make cultural commonalities audible and visible.
